Research and planning- Short list of 5 potential songs

During research into our favoured genres of music including Indie, pop and rock we have shortlisted these five songs for possible ideas for our final music video. When listening to a variety of songs, both songs that we had heard before and new, we settled for these as they all have a common theme of empowerment, motivation, strength, love and relationships. We also decided that we wanted to use a female artist as we felt that we would be able to connect more on a personal level as all girls and women want to feel strong and empowered which would enable us to get better views and ideas of what we wanted to feature in our video. Other artists of the similar genres such as Paloma Faith, Florence and the machine, Foxes and M.I.A have also given us inspiration and helped us to visualise how we want our final music video to look as we love the idea of the female artist being the main focus of the video and being portrayed as a strong individual.
